Access Statement

Introduction
Hill Top is a self catering cottage and has achieved VisitEngland Four Star Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service.  We have tried to give as much information as possible in this statement, but please contact us if you have any queries, we are happy to help and look forward to welcoming you. This access statement is available in the 'Welcome Information' folder in the cottage.


Pre-Arrival
Written directions to Hill Top are emailed or posted prior to arrival. There is limited public transport from Twyning to Tewkesbury and Worcester. From Tewkesbury there are regular buses to Cheltenham and Gloucester. Ashchurch train station is approximately 7 miles.


Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
There is space for four cars on the gravel driveway with level access to the cottage. Movement sensor lights are located for the drive and front door. At the entrance to the drive there is a sliding gate. To enter the cottage there is a step.


Main Entrance and General Information
Guests are met on their arrival and keys are handed over. Guests are given a familiarization tour of Hill Top. The front door opens into the hall/sitting room. The lounge, kitchen/dining area, utility room, WC and one twin bedded room are on the ground floor. In the hall, there is the 'Welcome Information' folder, which has all the details about the cottage and surrounding areas.


Sitting Room
Cottage style 2 seater settee and 1 arm chair. Also gate-legged table and side table with lamp.


Living Room
The main living room has two 3 seater settees and 2 arm chairs all of which are moveable. There is a TV and DVD with remote controls. French doors with step to patio.


Kitchen/Dining Area
The kitchen has integrated appliances (fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric hob and double oven at base unit height). Above the hob is an extractor unit. There is a microwave and toaster on the work surface. Crockery, glasses and cups are located in the base and wall units. Pots and pans are also located in the base units. CD player. Melamine topped dining table with chairs and bench.


Utility/ Laundry
There is a standard size, front loading washer/dryer provided in the utility room at base unit height. Oil fired boiler with worktop above. Hanging space.


Cloakroom
WC and hand basin with tiled splash back.


Bedroom 5
2 single beds, both of which are against the walls. Bedside cabinet with lamp between beds. Wardrobe with drawer beneath and chair.

 

First Floor
Bedroom 1
There is a king size bed with headboard. Two bedside cabinets with side lamps on either side of the bed. TV on chest of drawers and arm chair. 2 double wardrobes in dressing area.
En-suite Shower Room
Corner shower cubicle with electric shower, WC, pedestal hand basin. Cupboard space.


Bedroom 2
2 single beds, one of which has one side against a wall. Bedside cabinet with lamp between beds. Built-in wardrobe and chair.


Bedroom 3
2 single beds with bedside cabinet and lamp between beds. Built-in wardrobe and chair.


Bedroom 4
2 single beds, both of which are against the walls. Bedside cabinet with lamp between beds. Wardrobe with drawer beneath and chair.


Bathroom
Tiled shower cubicle with power shower, bath, WC and pedestal hand basin.


Gardens
Large open plan front garden. The enclosed rear garden has a patio area with barbecue and garden furniture. There is a sand pit and clothes line.
